Bengt Fagerberg, along with Kjell Eriksson and Arne Stavang, were intramental in the development of the Proctor/Fagerberg Test (PFT) between 1962[2] and 1971[1].

Bengt Fagerberg received his mining engineering degree from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden in 1945 and his Master of Science from the Colorado School of Mines in 1947. A member of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers (AIME), Bengt Fagerberg was Chief Metallurgist and head of Luossavaara-Kiirunavaara AB's (LKAB's) central division of product planning and development during the time the Proctor/Fagerberg Test (PFT) was being developed[1].
